Apple Becomes Third Largest Music Retailer In U.S.

itunes_npd1.jpg Yes, Apple has become the country’s third largest music retailer, knocking Amazon aside. With a 10% market share, Apple is right behind the #1 retailer, Wal-Mart, with a 15.8%, and the #2 retailer, Best Buy, with a 13.8%. All findings were recently reported by the NPD group, and are based on their survey of 400,000 people, age 13 and older. If Apple sits right behind the two leader music retailers, will we see Apple number one in the future?
