Designed by Marcos Nolan, the Elios is a spider-like robot that has 10 arms designed to lift people. Optical and biometric sensors keep the Elios on target while its tough exterior keeps it from damaged. It’s one thing to be someone rescued by this thing, but another to actually be rescued by it. I’d be a little frightened if I saw one of these crawling my way to rescue me, but overall this is a really cool gadget!
